Nowell & Associates worked in partnership with the architect and developer on Eastlake Village Marketplace, to honor the community's heritage by interpreting its agricultural past into all aspects of the design.

Key features include a replicated cistern fountain that serves as an identity marker for the shopping center and also reflects the rustic theme. Other details include large sitting areas flanked with natural boulders, heavy timber trellises, multiple specimen Oak trees, and an emphasis on ornamental grasses.
